About This Site

This site was started on May 10, 2003 to make data from my home weather station available to the public. The current weather, archive data, and daily weather stats for this web site come from sensors mounted at my home in Kimberly, Wisconsin. The current weather is usually updated every five seconds.

Weather Instruments

A cabled Davis Vantage Pro 2 is the source for all web site temperature, humidity, rain and wind data. A dual Athlon 64 X2 6000+ PC monitors the weather station, updates the website and streams the weathercam. Weather Display is the software used to read data from the weather station, create the HTML files and graphics, and upload them to the website. The temperature and humidity sensors are housed in an aspirated enclosure and are suspended 5 feet above ground on a tower on the north side of my home.
